The grand jury of San Miguel county which has just adjourned, was one of the best which ever has assembled in that county. They made a thorough examination of the records and disclosed a state of affairs resulting from the past conduct of public offices which is disgraceful. The books show several of the past officers to have been delinquent many thousands of dollars, and that several of the present officers are drawing large pay without giving proper services therefor. It behooves the taxpayers of the county to demand a thorough investigation of these matters and see that all moneys collected are properly accounted for, and such officers as have turned over their books showing delinquencies are compelled to refund. - Stock Grower.
