SUPREME COURT UNITED STATES.

Thursday, January 11, 1838.

Present as yesterday.

J. B. H. Smith, Esq., of the District of Columbia was admitted an Attorney and Counsellor of this Court.

No. 13. Thomas D. Owens et al. plaintiffs in error vs. Lessee of Luke Tiernan. Error to the Circuit Court U. S. of Kentucky. On motion of Mr. Crittenden, of counsel for the plaintiffs in error, it was ordered by the Court that the writ of error in this case be dismissed.

No. 19. The Bank of the United States, appellant, vs. James Daniel et al. This cause was submitted to the consideration of the Court on printed arguments, by Mr. Crittenden, of counsel for appellant, and by Mr. Allen, of counsel for the appellees.

No. 19. John Wilcox et al. plaintiffs in error, vs. Thomas Hunt et al. The motion to dismiss the suit of error in this case, for irregularity, was argued by Mr. Coxe in support of the same, and by Mr. Benton in opposition thereto.

Adjourned till to-morrow at 11 o'clock, A. M.

FRIDAY, January 12, 1838.

Wm. W. Potter, Esq. of Pennsylvania, and Amasa J. Parker, Esq. of New York, were admitted Attorneys and Counsellors of this Court.

No. 32. Geo. Beaston, garnishee, &c. plaintiff in error, vs. the Farmers' Bank of Delaware. This cause was argued by Mr. Martin and the Attorney General, in behalf of the plaintiff in error.

No. 38. The United States, plaintiff, vs. Laurence Coombs. This cause was argued by the Attorney General for the plaintiff.

Adjourned till to-morrow, 11 o'clock, A. M.

TUESDAY, January 16, 1838.

Henry H. Dodge, Esq. of Cleaveland, Ohio, and Robert Hare, Jr. Esq. of Pennsylvania, were admitted attorneys and counsellors of this court.

Daniel F. Strother, plaintiff in error, vs. John B. C. Lucas. This cause was farther argued by Mr. Lawless for the plaintiff in error.
