While the child labor problem has been practically wiped out in the valley, according to records recently submitted, officials here are keeping in close touch with the situation and a conviction in Judge Myer's court at Calipatria yesterday marked their latest effort in this line.
The Imperial Farming Company of Brawley through its agents, R. S. Dhillon and Ava Singh, was the defendant in the case. The charge was that the defendant had employed Andres Lopez, aged 14, as a cotton picker.
