Full Text

From the new kingdom of Hanover, we learn that already some questions have been made respecting the succession to the crown, and the neighboring powers are, from the innovation in this new establishment, quite jealous of its limits. The English have admitted many a question respecting the advantages which they have derived from their Hanoverian dominions. It is quite doubtful whether the present form of its government will contribute to the increase of their advantages, or the duration of their power.

We hear but little from their neighbours of Holland. Their king was expected after the new alliance with Russia. The interests of the different provinces have been so distinct ever since the revolution, that we may doubt their ready consent in one government. Some incidents in the history of their religion and government will justify our inquiries respecting their real tranquillity.
