The race for the postmastership of the city of Crown Point has been put on the track for the office of chief postage stamp seller of Crown Point.

The question of the postmastership of the city of Crown Point has been made a point of issue within the last two days, when petitions circulated by Postmaster Farley, the present incumbent, and Michael Grimmer, ex-county auditor, who has his eye on the plum, were presented to Crown Point citizens for signatures, the same to be sent to the powers that have the cutting of the melon. Postmaster Farley's term ends with the closing of the year and the race for the office promises to fill in the intervening time and be a spectacular one. Both petitions are receiving their quota of signatures and it is hinted that the race for the office may be a triangular one and a dark horse...
