Full Text

The diablerie Spiritualism has performed some strange acts. The rappings, originating with the Fox girls, have been as disastrous to the American government, as was the eating of the apple by Adam to the government established by the Creator. A long-haired, shallow-pated, abolition medium can hold spiritual re-unions at the White House, and control the policy of the Administration. This is what the abolition fanatics call governing the country in the spirit of its patriotic founders!

It is the diablerie of fanaticism transplanting statesmanship.
