BOSTON. November 22.

A paper of the 21st of September, published at Amsterdam, gives an account of the arrival at Lisbon from Goa, of two officers of a ship lately cast away, belonging to Commodore Hughes's squadron, who inform that the Hyder Ally had laid close siege to Madras: that the French squadron were also before the harbour, in which were eight Indiamen & a great number of other vessels: that Commodore Hughes could not come to their relief by reason of the monsoons; and that the English affairs in the Indies were in a deplorable situation.
