I have only Time to acknowledge the Receipt of your last kind Favour, and to let you know that America, dear America, lays much upon my Heart, and that I am exciting all to pray for it both in public and private every Day: after preaching at Sterling this Evening, I am now returning to Edinburgh, and from thence to London--perhaps one Time or another the Cloud may move to your new World again. I am waiting for some important News. Lord Loudon bears a most excellent Character--May the Lord of all Lords be with him, and all those that are heartily engaged in their Country's Cause.
