Tabernacle Baptist Church, pastored by the Rev. J. J. Minor, is in the celebration of the 11th anniversary of the pastor. The series of the meeting thus far have proven to be quite inspiring with speaker after speaker lauding Pastor Minor for the great work he has done as leader of the flock.
Under the leadership of Rev. Mr. Minor the church has been paid out of debt.
The big anniversary opened on Monday night with Rev. F. M. Hutchinson and Little Friendship Baptist Church as the guests. Tuesday night the Rev. H. M. Smith and Mt. Sinai Baptist church were the guests. Wednesday night the Rev. H. Lester and Welcome Friend Baptist Church were the guests; Thursday night the Rev. A. M. Lampkin and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church were the guests and Rev. A. A. Barnett and Pine Grove Baptist Church were the guests Friday.
Highlighting the closing event Sunday afternoon will be the sermon to be delivered by Rev. J. C. Alexander, pastor, Zion Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Minor is quite grateful to the pastors and friends for cooperating with the anniversary. The Tabernacle congregation is housed now in an attractive brick edifice, and is set to put in motion one of the greatest programs in the history of the church.
