HARTFORD, March 21.

On Saturday the 12th inst. Several Persons on board a Vessel at Weathersfield, were surprized by the Appearance of a human Body, entirely naked, floating on the Water, within about half a Rod of the Shore, but before they could accommodate themselves with a Boat, the Body disappear'd--and last Friday it was drove a-shore at Glassenbury, and taken up, when it proved to be a Girl about Ten Years of Age, without any Hair on her Head, but with several Bruises, one on her right Breast, together with several other Wounds on her Body. The Jury empannel'd according to the Law of this Colony, were of Opinion, that she was brought to an untimely Death, by some unknown Hand---and if this is the Case, it is of Importance that diligent Search be made to discover and detect the Author of such a Piece of Barbarity and Wickedness.
