Jenkinsville.

The farmers all rejoiced over the nice rain Tuesday afternoon.

Dr. Byrd and wife are both on the sick list. They called in Dr. Jordan, of Lexington, to see them Tuesday.

Wilson Tate and wife spent Saturday night with Mr. W. C. Rodgers and family.

Little Mildridge Talley is spending this week with her grandmother, Mrs. M. N. McNeer.

Mr. C. Sudbeck and wife went to Lexington Saturday on a shopping tour.

Miss Maggie McNeer has been ill with la grippe the past week.

Messrs. Tell Hewitt and Earl Tate accompanied Misses Pearl Tate and Sallie Lou Nabors to Mt. Pleasant Sunday to the memorial service.

Mrs. Lawrence Williamson and little ones and niece, Miss Lida McNeer, spent Saturday night with the former's sister, Mrs. J. I. McLellan, near Lexington.

Miss Nannie McLellan spent Saturday night at Mrs. J. F. McNeer's.

Everybody expecting a pleasant time the 8th and 9th—Laymen's day Sunday at Bowling Green and celebration of Grandpa Phillip Eubank's birthday Monday at his son, W. A. Eubank's.

Mr. Johnson, of Clinton, and Mr. Watts, of Winona, are the two Laymen expected to lecture Sunday.

J. L. Roberts made a deep well for D. T. McLellan last week.

The Sunday school at Pleasant Ridge is planning to have children day service the 2nd Sunday afternoon in June.
