Tuesday noon Julius Jacobson of Brookville had the misfortune to lose his granary and contents by fire. It was a fair sized building and contained several hundred bushels of grain. Mr. Jacobson had been oiling a harness and while he went to dinner he left a pan of harness oil over a lantern to thin the oil. The lantern was turned down low. While the family was eating dinner it was noticed the building was in flames. The emergency call was given on the telephone line and with the assistance of neighbors part of the grain was saved. The building and contents were insured in the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. C. B. Root went out Wednesday to adjust the loss.--Morgan Messenger.
