Criticized By Negro Voters

BATON ROUGE, La. (ANP) Riled at Sen. Russell Long's stand against the FEPC over the radio last Monday night, 6 groups alleging to be the representatives of some 3,000 Louisiana Negroes bitterly criticized the junior senator for his caustic remarks.

A telegram sent to the senator in Washington, by East Baton Rouge parish organizations, bearing their respective signatures, read in part:

"Your present action is a bitter disappointment to those of us who supported you in your campaign for election to the United States Senate. We strongly urge that you reconsider this matter in the light of our democratic ideals, which you so often have expressed."
