LEGION COMMITTEE NAMED ON BY-LAWS

Change in the by-laws to be considered by the Department at its convention in Ketchikan in September was taken up by Alford John Bradford Post, American Legion, last night at its regular meeting and a committee of William O. Johnson, chairman, E. M. Polley and J. T. Petrich was named to study the proposals and report to the Post in two weeks. One of the major changes proposed is to confine proxies only to post members. In other words, if a post had no representative at the Department Convention, it would have no vote. Some of the smaller posts are reported to be opposing the action.
