Letters from Edinburgh of the 1st inst. announce, that the States of the Electorate of Hanover, will not permit any army of Dutch Emigrants to collect on the Hanoverian territories, and they have positively refused to give them any assistance. The Hanoverians look upon their country as absolutely lost, if a speedy peace does not take place, and should any thing hostile be undertaken from that quarter, the French have threatened to cross the Rhine at Emmerick, and to take possession of the whole Electorate.
