Cyril Brown, who for more than two decades served the church with distinction. The Rev. M. Lamkin also is the pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, South Atlanta, and is held in Baptist circles to be one of Atlanta's most eligible young pastors. And after final years of successful pastoral labors, he will assume the leadership of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He will preach his farewell sermon at the Athens church on Sunday, September 17, after which he will be released to enter upon his new duties at Macedonia on the first Sunday in October.
