Pvt. Icl. Chester P. Sokolowski, Co. "A" 3rd Inf., and Harold Neu, son of Mr. Ed Neu, Quartermaster employee, were seriously injured Tuesday evening when a motorcycle on which they were returning to Fort Snelling from a swim at Lake Nokomis was struck by a street car at 34th Street and Minnehaha Blvd., Minneapolis. Private Sokolowski received a fractured skull and suffered serious internal injuries, while Neu has a broken leg.
At latest reports the condition of Private Sokolowski was steadily improving, and it is believed he will recover. He is at present at the Minneapolis General Hosp.
