April 1. Last Sunday, being Palm-Sunday, his Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury preached before his Majesty at the Chapel Royal at St. James's, being the first Time of his Majesty's appearing there since his late Indisposition. The Sword of State was carried to and from the Chapel by his Grace the Duke of Athol. After Divine Service, there was the greatest Appearance of Nobility and Gentry, to condole his Majesty, that, perhaps ever was seen at Court. The King appear'd to be in perfect Health; and in the Evening paid a Visit to her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, at Leicester-House. His Majesty was dressed in Purple-cloth and Weepers.

April 4. Yesterday Morning Orders were given Out by the Master of the Wardrobe, to get all Things in Readiness for hanging the Princess's Chamber with Mourning, and 74 Silver Branches for Candlesticks, against the Interment of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
