HEAVY ROBBERY.—On Saturday night last the jewelry store of C. McVicar, in this town, was entered and robbed.

McVicar and another man were sleeping in the store at the time, and the watch-dog was in the room that was robbed. Among the articles taken were about thirty watches, most of them belonging to customers. The maker's names and numbers of most of the watches are known.

The other articles taken were bullion, belt buckles, fob buckles, fob keys, about one hundred heavy bullion finger rings, one small meerschaum pipe (silver mounted), one cluster diamond pin, a lot of California specimens, besides many other articles.

The valuable fowling-piece up for raffle was untouched, and the money-drawer, in which was about thirty dollars, was also overlooked.

The police of the Territory are by this time fully advised in the premises.
