SELLS THE INDEPENDENT
Mrs. Laura B. Mahon Will Publish
Juliaetta Newspaper

Charles W. Semmes was in Lewiston yesterday from Juliaetta and departed in the evening for a business visit in Seattle. Mr. Semmes has published the Juliaetta Independent for the past year but this week concluded a sale of the newspaper plant and business to Mrs. Laura B. Mahon. The paper will appear this week under the new management.

Mr. Semmes stated he expected to return to the Juliaetta section in about two weeks and would engage in bean-growing during the coming season. He has secured a lease on a 25-acre tract adjacent to the town and will begin the preparation of the ground as early as weather conditions will permit.-Lewiston Tribune.
