Full Text
Meridian Mercury: We hope the approaching Press convention at Pascagoula will adopt measures to increase the usefulness and add to the dignity of the press by discouraging the use of gross personalities by editors, and by establishing a board of honor to settle and adjust all personal controversies that may unhappily arise between editors before they reach the point of disgusting the public. It would perhaps not be a bad idea to strike off the exchange list, by a resolution of the board of honor, any newspaper whose editor is guilty of dishonest and ungentlemanly conduct. Let us elevate the press.
