Full Text
J. M. Riggs and G. J. Waller are appointed jury commissioners. Recently J. M. Riggs and J. D. Holt, Jr., were appointed, the order of appointment being signed by Circuit Judges De Bolt and Robinson, Judge Gear refusing to sign, Riggs having been on the last commission which was guilty of a host of errors in the matter of drawing jurors.
Judge Gear did not think it right that one commissioner should be blamed more than another for mistakes made and therefore refused to sign the order with the other judges. Riggs and Holt were withdrawn and now De Bolt and Robinson appoint Riggs and Waller. Gear still refuses to sign; the name of Riggs, one of the former commissioners responsible for mistakes, being retained. C. J. McCarthy was originally a commissioner with Riggs.
