Full Text

We have authentick accounts that a remonstrance has been delivered from the Court of Denmark to that of Sweden, importing their intention to act in the most vigorous manner in support of this design; and a Danish squadron is now riding in the road of Copenhagen, ready to weigh anchor at the shortest warning, to intercept the transportation of troops across the gulf of Bothnia into Finland, through which province they must pass, in order to make any descent upon Livonia, the place alone where Sweden can make any attack upon Russia. But it is believed these spirited and steady measures of the Danish Court, to prevent the French from lighting up a flame in the corner of the north, with a view of facilitating the success of the Turks against Russia, and support the Roman Catholick interest in Poland, will put an entire check to that scheme, so injurious to liberty, the Protestant cause, and even Christianity itself.
