The new church being built by the First Congregational society of Eau Claire to replace the one destroyed by fire two years ago, will cost $180,000, according to figures submitted at the annual meeting of the congregation. This will make it by far the costliest church edifice in that city. All but $50,000 of this amount has been raised and arrangements have been made to raise the remainder. A pipe organ costing $18,000 will be installed. The church will be completed by mid-summer, it is expected.
