Finds Husband's Body On Floor

LOS ANGELES, May 3. (U.P.) Awakening early this morning to find that her husband had not come to bed, Mrs. Bessie Daniel found the man's body on the floor of the bedroom where it had lain virtually all night.

The husband, John R. Daniel, 51, had swallowed poison and gone into the bedroom to die before his wife returned home at a late hour.

Other members of the family, she said, because not wanting to disturb her, retired without turning on the light. She failed to discover the body.

Police said that Daniel, office manager for the Pacific Scale Company of this city, had made two previous attempts to commit suicide.
