Cleveland Medic, City Physician, is Suspended

CLEVELAND, O., June 8—(ANP)—In the wake of charges that he, as Democratic committeeman of the 12th ward, had been encouraging vice in the district by offering protection for a price and that he had acted as a "pick up" man for a numbers game, Dr. L.L. Rodgers was recently suspended from his position as a city physician.

Negro Republicans and Dr. Rodgers' friends regard the charges as ridiculous and hold enemies within the Democratic party, anxious to discredit Negro leadership, responsible.

The original charges against Rodgers were made by a white man named Becvar, who claimed that Negroes were getting most of the jobs-
