On Tuesday the 10th was held our annual Commencement at St. Paul's Chapel in this City. His Excellency the Governor, the Members of his Majesty's Council, the Clergy of the City and neighbouring Governments, and a very numerous and splendid Audience, honored the Day with their Presence. The President conferred upon the following young Gentlemen, the Degree of Bachelor of Arts, viz. Messrs. Laight & Tyler, also the Degree of Master of Arts upon Messrs. Jay & Harrison; and upon Doctor Glentworth, the Rev. Messrs. Neil, Avery, & Inglis. The Rev. Mr. Ogilvie was admitted A. M. from Yale-College; and the Rev. Samuel Auchmuty, and Thomas B. Chandler ad eundem, viz. D. D. from Oxford.
