"GEE----NOTES"

Not much good news since last writing as it seems most everything was bad luck. Lt. Pauley of this Company had the misfortune of a bad car wreck while enroute from the north woods on D.S. (C.C.C.) duty. Although he was fortunate enough that no one was seriously injured. Lt Freeland (our company commander) and Pvt. Harlow also returned after a few days sojourn in the north woods discharging C.C.C. workers. We lost Lt. Freeland again for last night the Lieutenant, 1st Sgt. Boyke and Sgt. Banks left with a Company of 212 C.C.C.'s a replacement company for East Superior Dist. at Two Harbors, Minn. Our ranks are being thinned by more men going on D.S. as we have sent two more cooks to the north woods since last writing PFCs Klingler & Linnell.
