Annual spring workshop of the Montgomery County Parent Child-Study Advisory Board will be held February 27-28 at Wheaton Presbyterian Church.
Topic for discussion is "Living Successfully from Day to Day," with Dr. Walter B. Waetjen of the Institute for Child Study, University of Maryland, as speaker.
Sessions each day will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 2:15 p.m. The church is situated at Paul Dr. and Church La. in Wheaton.
Babysitters and coffee will be provided for both sessions.
The Parent Child-Study Group was begun in Montgomery County 17 years ago and has a program including individual group meetings of parents; bi-monthly leadership training meetings; and twice-a-year workshops.
Leadership training meetings are under the direction of Owen Knight, supervisor of pupil personnel for Montgomery County schools, and workshops bring in guest speakers from the University Institute for Child Study.
The group brings together parents with common interests and common experiences.
Through interchange of experiences and ideas, it helps parents find ways of reaching decisions relating to their own situations.
