Full Text
Those who have read the vain boasts of the fanatical Mormon leaders will not be surprised to learn that the failure of Congress to settle the Kansas embroglio, has induced the Mormons to again resist the Federal authorities of Utah. It was the boast of the Mormons that Kansas and Utah could whip Uncle Sam, and they appear determined to renew hostilities so long as the Kansas question remains open. Had that question been definitely settled, Uncle Sam could have concentrated his forces upon Utah, England and Cuba, and made short work with them.
