Extract of a Letter from New-York, October 5.

Yesterday was exhibited, to the great Satisfaction of all the good Inhabitants of this City, and to the great Terror of evil doers, three Men, who have for some time past made a practice of giving Information to the Custom house Officers against Goods illegally imported: Their Punishment was being put on a Cart, after being well tarr'd from Head to Foot and covered with Feathers, and then rid thro' every Street in the City, surrounded by some thousands of People; they were greatly terrified and very penitent.
