The court, in the most elegant and learned speech, shewed the enormity of the offence, and the necessity of making an example of people of Mr. Butler's rank, but that in consideration of their Agent, Mr. Kemmis, engaging to pay all the costs and expences (out of pocket,) which we understand amounts to 446l. 12s. 1d. the court were pleased to reduce the fine they intended to impose on them to 6d. but ordered them two months imprisonment in Newgate, and to give security in 200l. each, and two sureties in 250l.
