The closing of school was a event of note. Both the primary and intermediate departments presented very impressive assemblies.
The primary 2-1 group presented a play Mother Goose Christmas Helpers with James Williams as Santa Claus. Maggie Marshall as Mrs. Santa Claus. Almeta Lanum as Mother Goose being the leading characters. The play itself showed the spirit in which people work together: Mother Goose and her helpers worked with Santa Claus and his helpers to make happy the little children of the land.
The intermediate also presented a play A Christmas Carol adapted from the story by Charles Dickens and the Christmas Loaf. Both of these were presented by the 6-2 group. Along with these short plays were the assembly singing of Christmas songs and carols.
Capital Hill faculty takes this chance to wish all persons and patrons who have cooperated so beautifully with the school a very Happy New Year.
