The case of the people against George Golds of Ada was before Justice Westfall yesterday. Golds was arrested some time ago on a charge of attempting to poison his son and wife by putting arsenic into four pans of milk. Four witnesses were sworn yesterday by the people whose testimony was to the effect that Golds strained a pail of milk and shortly afterwards some foreign substance was found in the milk. It was brought to the city and analyzed by a chemist who found a quantity of arsenic in it. The people was represented by Frank McKnight and the defendant by Frank Wygent. The hearing was adjourned until July 19.
