Full Text

Preparations are making, says a Philadelphia paper, for opening the National Electioneering Campaign with great spirit. The opposition to the "Virginian dynasty" will be joined by forces but little, as yet, suspected. And that opposition will be broad-bottomed. The union so much complained of in Philadelphia, has its source in principles, which must accelerate its spread. Among the pens now plying for the contest will be those of two General Officers at least, whose ink will be made more piquant by the recollection of injuries.
