Storm Clouds Hover Hurricane Moving Up Coast, May Hit Valley

A new storm threatened Imperial Valley Saturday. The San Francisco weather bureau reported a hurricane moving along the coast of Lower California, a storm which might follow in the path of its predecessor and deluge the valley in a storm similar to the two-day downpour early this week.

Light rain early Saturday morning was the edge of the storm along the coast. If it followed the usual course of coast disturbances, the valley will escape a second wetting. If not, a repetition of the Tuesday and Wednesday flood was anticipated.

Showers or thunder storms were predicted for the east portions of California for Saturday night and Sunday.

Overcast skies Saturday hinted of more moisture to come. Light winds from the coast increased the fear that the storm was on the way from the west.
