"The Truth As it is in Jesus."

"The truth as it is in Jesus," we understand to be a summary expression of all that Jesus taught personally and by his apostles. And this relates to himself and to God and to men. Some of the elements of this truth are, 1. The perpetuity, extent, spirituality, goodness and severity of the Divine law. 2. The free agency, entire sinfulness, and condemnation of men, and their exposure to the wrath of God. 3. The Messiahship, mediation, divinity and atonement of Christ. 4. Regeneration by the Spirit of God; repentance and faith, love to God and love to man, and a life of conformity to the divine will. 5. The resurrection of the dead, the "eternal judgment," the everlasting happiness of the righteous, and the everlasting punishment of the wicked.—Zion's Adv.
