Full Text

BOSTON, April 17. We have it from undoubted Authority, that Lord Howe, owing to his not having received punctual remittances from England, has been obliged to issue out a large quantity of Paper Dollars in order to pay off the British and Hessian troops; upon its being tendered to the Hessians, they refused it, saying, that they would much rather receive the Rebel Paper-Money, which was issued upon the credit of the continent, than that which was issued upon the credit of his Lordship. We understand that the British troops now receive the paper money emitted by Lord Howe; but we hear his Lordship has been obliged to furnish the Hessians with gold and silver.
