Ceremonies Will Be Under Auspices American Legion, Department of State

On Armistice day, November 11th, the new Nebraska state capitol will be dedicated at Lincoln and members of Bitting-Norman post of this city are making plans to attend in a body.

A parade will be held at 10:30 o'clock a. m., and Gov. McKelvie will take part in the program. The speaker of the day will be Alvin M. Owsley, national commander of the American Legion, and the ceremonies will be under the auspices of the American Legion, Department of Nebraska.

Because of the importance of the event and because of the part that will be taken by the American Legion in the program, members of the local post have not decided to celebrate in Beatrice. Instead, the post will co-operate with the state of Nebraska and the American Legion at Lincoln to make the ceremony one of the biggest affairs ever held in the state.

The local post is asking that all members who desire to attend the ceremony should meet with the Armistice day committee on Thursday evening, November 9th, at the Chamber of Commerce rooms at which time definite arrangements will be made for transportation and insignias that will be worn.

The post's officers are desirous that a large delegation should arrange to attend the ceremonies.
