[From the Virginia Enterprise of yesterday.]

New York, Aug. 22. - A Tribune special says it is not a settled fact that General Cox is to be relieved from the position of Commissioner of the Freedmen's Bureau. The President is contemplating making a change for some time. General Stanton and Secretary Howard were reported likely to be decided on. Howard's case. An order for his removal was issued for this week - in all six are expected to be removed at the headquarters of Freedmen's Bureau. Great rejoicing this step of the President will only tend to enter a protest into the journal of Sumner and Stevens. Grant's friends say that this is all mere to Johnson about to ratify it and similar intrigue. The friends of the President, on the contrary, that their prediction was bold and from objection to their removal.

The Intelligencer tomorrow will urge the removal onward. The President's friends - unless that he wishes me regent of Cuyahoga County. We learn K. T. H. wants to make new deal as fresh card for the re-election of the ten. You may regard this as trifling.

Adams, Bugle, Andrew, and Senators Sherman, Wilson, Julian and Fessenden are all men in a conspiracy with Colfax, Lane's true work of changing their words, and all at Grants humility with the President, while on tantrum.
