University Extension Class In English Is Organized; 35 Register

The Bridgeport center of the Columbia University extension course became a reality last evening with the organization in the Bridgeport high school of the class in English composition. About 35 enrolled. E. E. Cortright, principal of the Shelton school, who has been largely instrumental in making the Bridgeport center possible met the students, and presented E. W. Burrill as the instructor. Mr. Burrill conducts similar course for the University at Paterson and Jersey City.

The students will devote themselves to assigned reading, composition based on this work, and will profit by critical comment and advice by Mr. Burrill. The class is to meet at the high school Wednesdays, from 7:30 to 8:45.

Classes in teaching and in psychology will be organized next Tuesday.
