Delegates Fail to Arrive: Churches Conference Stayed
Due to the late arrival of delegates to the Evangelism conference scheduled to open in the Grand Ave. Methodist church, under auspices of the Federation of Churches at 10 a. m., the meeting was delayed until this afternoon, according to announcement.
One of the features of the conference is to be the introduction by the Rev. Charles L. Goodell, New York executive secretary of the Federated Council of Churches in America, of a program for the union of evangelism for all denominations.
Among churchmen who will be present are the Rev. Herbert F. Stillwell, secretary, Baptist Commission on Evangelism; the Rev. F. L. Fagley, secretary, Congregational church; the Rev. Charles E. Schaefer, Reformed church in the United States, and the Rev. J. E. Shannon, United Brethren church.
