MUST
WE HAVE A
WAR
EVERY
FEW
YEARS, TO AVERT
DEPRES-
SIONS?

Hush little speculator . . . don't you cry . . . for we'll have another war bye and bye . . . don't you remember about a year ago . . . when business was getting just a little bit slow . . . when the country seemingly needed . . . a shot in the arm . . . to bring prosperity to mart and farm . . . the voters were crying for relief from taxes . . . for a war had been concluded with the Japs and Axis . . .

Hush little speculator . . . don't you cry . . . for we'll have another war bye and bye . . . and then supply funds for political riches . . .

But today . . . if you'll read the morning papers . . . prices are dropping on the New York Mart . . . for the foreign legions may soon depart . . . the whine of the shells and cannon's thunder . . . may soon be stilled . . . and then we wonder . . . if the greedy sharks are satisfied . . . with the
