Extract of a letter from Washington, dated December 22.

This day accounts have been received that BURR has gone down the Ohio, in force. Parties of horse are in pursuit of him, and orders have been given to our gun boats, &c. to oppose his progress:

Some accounts from Washington mention the number of men with Col. Burr, at 3000 others say 1000, and others again only 300.—Bos. Pal.

From the National Intelligencer of Dec. 22.

The obscurity, that has for some time enveloped the projects of Aaron Burr, begins to give place to facts. From a great variety of information received from various quarters, we believe it may be confidently said that we are within a few days of the development of his plan; and that

1. That a military plan has been formed;

2. That Aaron Burr is the leader of it.
