WILLIAMSBURG, July 25.

A FEW days ago the baron De Kalb, brigadier general in the French service, and the marquis de la Fayette, a young nobleman, and colonel of a regiment, with six other French officers, passed through Petersburg, from Charleston, on their way to join the grand continental army. By these gentlemen we learn, that France is in great readiness for war, and only wait for England to declare, when they will take an active part in favour of America, being determined, at all events, to support her independency.
