Circumstances Alter Cases.

[Montpelier Argus.]

The railroads fought hard against the two cent mileage bill, in 1898, but it was passed in the face of the opposition. The railroads carried the matter into the courts and secured an injunction against the issuing of such books, representing that it would imperil the interests of the stock holders. Now the Rutland road wants two cent mileage and issues such books without consulting the courts. It is strange how railroad opinion of the matter has changed.
