Accident.—We learn by the Gazette, that yesterday afternoon, between two and three o'clock, the schooner Enterprise, Capt. Davis, of and for Snowhill, was capsized in a squall, between Red Hook and Yellow Hook. The pilot boat Transit, then eight miles off, came to the assistance of the sufferers, and by their humane exertions saved the Captain, his son, two passengers, and a lad, but James Davis, a seaman was drowned. The survivors were brought to the city by the pilot boat, but the vessel drifted down the Narrows.
