We are told, that on the 20th of Sept. the Day which the Captain of the Convoy had peremptorily fixed for the Sailing of our Fleet, there were only about 30 Sail from Virginia and Maryland, which were ready to Sail with him: But by the Wind's holding Easterly about three Weeks, which prevented his Sailing, and favour'd the other Ships in getting down, there were collected, ready for Sailing under his Protection, One Hundred and Fourteen, on the 6th Instant, and it is supposed then sail'd on the 7th.
The following is an Account of what Number of the Fleet are bound to different Ports under Convoy of His Majesty's Ship the Assistance Man of War, Captain Norton, of 50 Guns, and Porcupine Frigate, Captain Dalrymple, of 20 Guns. Three Merchantmen of Force, Part of the Fleet, had Orders to Sail on the Starboard Side of the Fleet with their Pendants, and Three on the Larboard, the rest, being 108, in the Centre.
