HACKMAN WANTS OWNER OF $500
John Radin, the veteran hackman, whose stand is on King near Fort street, is the latest candidate for a medal as the champion honest man of the Islands. Radin picked up $500 in gold and greenbacks yesterday at Iwilei, and although he could have slipped himself a few slices off the roll he preferred to find the rightful owner of the miniature fortune.
Radin found the money in a handbag, it is said, and is ready to return it as soon as the owner appears and proves that it is his or her property. Identification will have to be complete, but Radin says he is anxious to see that the coin goes back where it belongs.
