SUNBURG
Jan. 27.-A number of friends and relatives rendered a parcel shower in honor of Mr. and Mrs. John I. Gronseth Sunday afternoon at the Sunburg hall. A nice program and a delicious lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Gronseth received many nice and useful gifts.
Mrs. Cyrus Swenson spent from Thursday until Friday at the John Jorgenson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ellingboe and daughter Ardis visited at the J. Hallberg home Sunday.
Miss Alma Berg visited with Mrs. Clarence Danielson from Monday until Tuesday.
Gust Sanders, Franklin Berg and Alma Berg visited with Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Berg at Lake Andrew last Sunday.
Mrs. Anton Palmeson and Hanley Riegstad visited at the N. T. Gunnufson home Monday afternoon.
Little John Victor Halvorson has been ill with pneumonia the last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lesteberg and daughters Elvina and Nora visited at the Ole Sondrol home last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Hagen and family visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Finstad Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Martin Quale visited at the Martin Haugen home Thursday.
Oscar Shelstad was a Willmar caller Thursday.
Mrs. Helen Youngberg assisted at the Ole Ellingboe home from Monday until Sunday.
Mrs. Clifford Gandrud entertained a number of ladies at a rook party Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bruer are enjoying a week's visit with relatives at Alberta, Minnesota.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Quamme visited at the L. C. Hagen home Friday afternoon.
A number of friends were entertained for a rook party at the P. A. Gandrud home Wednesday night.
Mrs. M. O. Mikkelson called at the S. J. Halvorson home Thursday afternoon.
John Eliason, Alma and Elias Eliason were Kerkhoven callers Thursday afternoon.
Jan. 30.-A large crowd attended the parcel shower at the town hall, Sunday afternoon, for Mr. and Mrs. John Gronseth, who were recently married. The bride was formerly Miss Caroline Rime, daughter of Mrs. Kari Rime. A good program was given and a delicious lunch was served. The newly-weds were presented with many nice and useful gifts. Their many friends wish them a happy and successful married life!
Mrs. Mathea Skare is a patient at a hospital in Willmar where she underwent an operation.
Mrs. Carl Ellingboe entertained a number of women Thursday evening. Progressive rook was the pastime and a nice lunch was served by the hostess.
Miss Adeline Gunnufson is spending a few days at the A. C. Berg home in Willmar.
Oli Severiede left for Minneapolis Wednesday, to attend the Westinghouse Electric convention.
Sam Gandrud of Litchfield, visited his parental home here on Wednesday.
Visitors at the Clarence Danielson home on Tuesday afternoon were: Mesdames Sam Mortenson, P. A. Gandrud, Ole Flolo, M. O. Mikkelson, Carl Ellingboe and Feiner Flaten.
A few from here took in the Litchfield-Kerkhoven basketball game in Kerkhoven last Friday evening.
Mrs. Ole Rime left for Minneapolis on Thursday where she will spend several weeks with her daughters.
Christ Gandrud is attending the Fairway company convention in St. Paul this week.
